UEFA Champions League Final generates 68 percent audience share in Portugal
The final of the UEFA Champions League between FC Porto and AS Monaco attracted some pleasing viewing figures, and not only in Portugal, which registered a sensational audience share of 68 percent.
In France 44 percent of viewers kept their fingers crossed, in vain as it turned out, for AS Monaco. The Netherlands also recorded a respectable audience share of 30 percent.
With an average audience of 5.93 million in Germany the live broadcast achieved the highest viewing figures for a European match without the involvement of a German team, giving broadcaster Sat.1 an audience share of 20.8 percent. Viewing figures for the final in the Arena AufSchalke peaked at 6.85 million viewers.
