The Arena AufSchalke is easy to get to from the A2 and the A 42 autobahns. For fans of FC Porto the route to the Arena AufSchalke via the A2 autobahn is signposted from junction 7 (Herten). As a stress-free alternative to the car parks around the Arena AufSchalke, a free park-and ride (P+R) service will also be available.

Fans arriving via the A2 should leave the autobahn at junction 7 (Herten) and follow the signs to the P+R site "Ruhr-Zoo ". The journey time for the shuttle buses is about ten minutes.

From the A42 you can leave the autobahn at either junction 15 (Gelsenkirchen-Heßler) or junction 16 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) and follow the signs to the P+R site at the amphitheatre (Amphitheater). The journey time for the shuttle buses is about 15 minutes.

The P+R car park and the shuttle buses can be used free of charge.

Fans who won't be arriving by car can take the 302 tram straight to the Arena AufSchalke from either Gelsenkirchen railway station or Buer bus station (ZOB). The 302 tram runs between the main railway station and Buer every few minutes.

For the return journey to the main railway station, additional shuttle buses will wait at the same stop as the trams should the need arise.

In addition, special trains will run throughout the night from Gelsenkirchen railway station to Düsseldorf and Dortmund. The use of public transport in the area covered by the VRR transport authority (www.vrr.de) is free of charge for anyone in possession of a match ticket.
